2009 Awards for TLC Staff Member of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Friend of Education and District 63 Employee of the Year

A not-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois, the District 63 Education Foundation,/Total Learning Community (TLC) held its 4th Annual Award Dinner & Auction evening program entitled “Carry the Ball for Kids”:

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM Cocktails & Silent Auction

6:30 Dinner & Awards Presentation

Recently awarded the 2008 Dimon Distinguished Community School Award by The Federation for Community Schools and the 2007 Outstanding After School Program Award by the National Community Education Association, TLC also presented their own annual awards that evening:

2008 TLC Staff Member of the Year – Eva Perelgut

2008 Volunteer of the Year – Tom Ahlbeck/Joy Anderson of Ahlbeck & Co.

2008 District 63 Employee of the Year – Nancy Tatera

2008 Friend of EducationAbt Electronics

Local stories leading up to the event were promoted by the Journal & Topics & Pioneer Press.

Over 500 people including District 63 administrators, staff & teachers were on hand with their guests. This was besides representatives from sponsoring businesses and local/statewide elected officials.

Please note that the TLC office location has moved and their new location is behind Apollo School, int he same location of the TLC Teen Center.
