Multi-Chamber Networking Breakfast, SKOKIE – November 19, 2008

On an early Wednesday morning in the middle of November, over 220 people representing 10 area Chamber of Commerce’s (DBR (Deerfield, Bannockburn & Riverwoods), Evanston, Glenview, Morton Grove, Northbrook, Northfield, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka & WPH (Wheeling/Prospect Heights)) attending a multi-chamber networking breakfast at the Doubletree Hotel in Skokie. The event began at 7:30 PM with a beautiful buffet breakfast as well as coffee and fruit juices. People we able to mingle around the room until approximately 8:00 AM at which time the MC of the event, Howard Meyer of the Skokie Chamber announced the instructions for the event that would commence at 8:15 AM.

Each businessperson was given 3 table rotations for the event where everyone was given 2 minutes for an introduction then 5 minutes to speak freely at their respective table. There was also a 5 minute passing period between rotations to get to your next table and get comfortable.

As this was the 2nd successful event at the Doubletree, it was announced that the chambers will be expanding this unique concept of networking to 4 events in January, April, July and November 2009!
